Please support queerpoets

Queer Poets In Greek is a non-profit website and youtube channel that aims to promote queer poetry in Greece, a country where sexuality and gender have yet to be seriously discussed in poetry, echoing the county's overall apathetic attitude towards LGBTQ rights. The project is run by a single person who just submitted his PhD at UCL, is part-time employed and on benefits, working on the project pro bono, without profiting from it in any way. Any donations will help cover basic operational costs (website fees, poetry books, video and audio recording equipment).

Since March 2018, Queer Poets In Greek has attracted approximately 15.000 unique visitors from all over the world. Some of translated poems have been circulated on the greek internet, appeared in a film as well as in print for a production of the National Theatre of Greece and a collection of essays in memory of the much beloved lgbtq activist and drag queen Zak Kostopoulos. I have not been reimbursed for any of these contributions, which is making it difficult to make ends meet for me. I know that most people will ignore this, but if you find the project useful, please consider a donation to help a poet/translator do what they love the most.
